What can possibly be better than perfectly cooked al dente spaghetti and fragrant homemade marinara sauce. It is simplicity at it’s best. Yes many times simple is better. The star of the show is homemade marinara sauce. It is absolutely phenomenal. You can not compare store-bought sauce that is loaded with added sugars and preservatives to this freshly made goodness.

It was intimidating making homemade marinara sauce from scratch in the beginning, but I conquered it, so can you. This is simply the best and easiest recipe for the sauce. This homemade marinara sauce offers rich and exuberant tomato flavor with silky velvety texture. Pure heaven. The taste is multidimensional and deep thanks to the longer cooking time which is absolutely worth it in the end the result is fantastic, authentic Italian flavor after a 45-minute simmer.

And don’t let the ridiculously short ingredient list fool you. There sauce is stellar and yes you will only need five basic pantry ingredients to make this delicious marinara sauce: good canned tomatoes, onion, garlic, dried oregano and olive oil. Cant get more simple than that. Paired with starchy spaghetti this meal is sure to warm your soul.

This spaghetti dinner is so easy to put together. It is a true week night wonder. Just open the tomato sauce, add onion and garlic, no need to chop, boil the store-bought spaghetti, pour yourself a glass of wine, wait 45 minutes and voila you have amazing and delicious meal on your plate.
