When holiday season is in full swing, we eat a lot, but still, we almost always can’t eat that much. So, we have a ton of leftovers. If you hate throwing food away as much as I do, this turkey pie is a recipe just for you.

Turkey is good when it’s fresh out of the oven, but really, no one can eat that much turkey. And I usually cook a whole bird for Thanksgiving and for Christmas. And well, a couple times in between. So, I make this turkey pie with all the leftover meat.

This pie is a great savory dish for a lazy holiday afternoon. It has the festive feel and it’s full of veggies and herbs and it’s just delicious.

Cooking during a holiday season, especially after you’ve managed the holiday table, always feels tiresome, so cooking it with a store bought crust dough is always my pick. Other than that, all I have to do is chop up the veggies and make chicken stock with a stock cube.

The result is a classic pot pie, chock full of meat and vegetables and all the flavors and seasoning blend in exceptionally well. Cook it when you’re slightly tired of all the celebration and turkey, but still have a lot of leftovers. This recipe gives turkey a bit of a new light and you’ll love it.
