Save yourself a trip to the take out Chinese restaurant and make this extra flavorful and delicious garlic sauce in the comfort of your own home. It is slightly sweet and packs a powerful flavor punch. The reason I love Chinese food is because there is always so many complementing flavors going on in a single dish. Everyone is guaranteed to find the taste they like.

This sauce is exactly that. There is a lot going on but all of the ingredients work harmoniously together. And the bonus is that you can adjust the spices and heat levels according to your personal taste. Feel free to add more chilis if you want it spicier.

The sauce makes a wonderful stir-fry sauce for chicken and beef stir-fries. But also is a great dipping sauce for dumplings and egg rolls.  It is slightly sweet and  almost has a slight caramel taste form the brown sugar,  with a ton of flavor from traditional asian ingredients.

Aromatics like garlic, ginger, green chilies all bring in their  best in creating this sauce. Soy sauce adds a savory note with sesame oil and chicken broth serving as a base. I add a little bit of cornstarch just to thicken the sauce and give it the perfect consistency.  Like I mentioned the sauce is very versatile. You can add more or less of any of the ingredients, whatever suits your palette. Sriracha sauce can also be added for extra heat and flavor.
