This delicious apple fritter bread is a great mix of soft, fluffy batter, tangy green apples, sugar glaze and cinnamon. A great way to start off your Sunday.

I love baking this sweet bread when I want something with apples and cinnamon and don’t want an apple pie or cobbler. It’s great with coffee or tea and I love having a few slices as toast and using cream cheese spreads on it.

The baking process is pretty simple. You make a butter and sugar cream base and add the rest of ingredients to it.  There are several ways to distribute the apple and cinnamon mixture. You can have it in layers or evenly mixed with the batter, depending on how you want your bread to turn out.

Make sure you bake the bread in the preheated oven for it to set right. It’s best not to use skim milk or to substitute half of your whole milk with buttermilk, because you need to have a fatty base in your bread for a proper soft texture.

You can add pecans or walnuts, chopped, on top of the bread before baking for a bit of a crunch if you’d like. Drizzling this bread with honey instead of sugar glaze also works great.

Other than that, just follow the easy steps below and I hope you enjoy this lovely recipe.
