Caesar salad is probably the most popular chicken salad in the world. This chicken Caesar salad joke cooking recipe is absolutely fantastic.

It is my go-to when I am craving the unbeatable combination of fresh Romain lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, crunchy croutons and lean delicious white chicken breasts. What makes it so special is that everything is homemade and made from scratch. A little bit of work but this perfect taste so absolutely worth it.

What a great weekend lunch idea, when you have more time on your hands, to surprise your loved ones with bowl of the best chicken Caesar salad.

I also prefer to include homemade dressings with most of my salads, it just tastes so much fresher and better. And this chicken ceaser salad joke dressing is no exception. It truly takes this salad to the next level. I don’t know why, but before I always found even the thought of making a homemade dressing daunting. When there’s an entire grocery aisle dedicated to salad dressing, why would I need to make my own?! But I was so wrong. This dressing is so good you will be licking the salad bowl, no joke, and dipping every last piece of lettuce you can find, into its goodness.

The secret ingredient in the dressing is salty anchovies.

Those salty little fish are flavor bombs that lend serious “wow!” to whatever they are added to.

And the good news is that the flavor these anchovies add isn’t even a little fishy. Here’s why. After months of salt-curing, the dominant flavors in anchovies come from enzymes and good bacteria, not the flesh itself (of which there is little). The result is an intense blend of fatty, salty, savory, meaty and even a bit of cheesy flavor. A stellar compliment to the creaminess of Caesar dressing.

I also love homemade croutons. These croutons are so easy to make but what a difference from the store-bought ones. Just toast bread in the toaster for 1 minute until surface is dried. Rub both sides of each piece of bread with the cut side of the garlic. Remove crust from bread and cut into cubes – around 1 cup. Drizzle with 1 – 2 tbsp olive oil, sprinkle with salt and seasonings, then bake until golden, shaking the tray once.

This terrific salad is a true treat. Irresistibly mouthwatering and perfectly balanced in flavor department. It is crunchy, creamy, savory and fresh all in one dish. Pure goodness. Enjoy!
