Shredded Beef is something worth having around your fridge for quick lunchtime sandwiches, simple late suppers or lazy late brunches. I usually make it when I have family or friends staying over and cooking for a hoard of people becomes a challenge.
This shredded beef, made in a slow cooker is a lifesaver for busy moms, working people who like homemade lunches and kids who need to take a bite of something before parents get home to make dinner and it’s not chips or candy.
The recipe offers excellent variety in terms of seasoning. So, you can have a different flavor of shredded beef each time you make it. I personally like the combination of garlic, thyme, rosemary, oregano and pepper, but you can season it with whatever you most like.
I also tried making it with barbecue flavors and then added barbecue sauce to it and it was delicious.
I usually keep it in an airtight container in a fridge, though I have to be honest with you, it never kept long enough because it’s so delicious, we usually wipe it out very fast.
It’s best when it rests in the fridge for a day or so, and served in wraps, tacos, sandwiches, it’s just divine. You’ll never want another lunch, trust.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do! I believe it may become one of anyone’s regulars.
